Education Perfect Proficiency Month 2017

Dear Teachers,

Registrations are now open for the 2017 Education Perfect Proficiency Month (1st-28th February 2017)!

Education Perfect Proficiency Month is an opportunity for all schools to take part in online diagnostic proficiency tests with Education Perfect at the beginning of the school year, for FREE. The EP Proficiency Tests will be offered to Years 7 - 10 for the following languages:

  • Chinese
  • French
  • German
  • Indonesian
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Spanish

These tests will give teachers insights into students' understanding across a range of topic areas, with an aim to provide schools with a comprehensive report of their students’ abilities and needs, in order to help them create learning opportunities that improve student outcomes.

Once assessed, students will be provided with feedback on their results and will be directed to learning materials and smart lessons that target recommended content. Teachers are provided with summarised data of student and class results, highlighting areas of strength and weakness.

If you have any questions about EP Proficiency Month, please email or visit the Official Website here for more information.

PS: We will be in touch at the start of February regarding general enrolment for 2017, but wanted to give you information about Proficiency Month as soon as possible for your planning.

Kind regards,

The Education Perfect Team |

Short Film: WAIT

This short film which has just become the first New Zealand film in Mandarin language featuring a Chinese cast to be selected in competition in the New Zealand International Film Festivals (NZIFF).

This is the first time ever a New Zealand short film in any Chinese language has been selected, and the first time a New Zealand film with a Kiwi all-Chinese cast has been selected.

This short film has been selected by acclaimed director Lee Tamahori as one of only 6 shorts (out of 81 entries) to screen in the "New Zealand's Best" programme, the only competitive section of the NZIFF.

It will be great if the Chinese community and Chinese language-learning community could come out to support the film at its screenings (below), and spread the word about it!

There is also a vote for audience favourite at the screenings so it would be lovely if as many people as possible came to vote and help a Chinese-language film win the award.

Tickets normally sell out very quickly so make sure to get in fast - I've included links and details below for you.
